Sustainability is built on the assumption that developing such strategies foster company longevity.

Climate change potentially represents a major threat to the well-being of the Human. The Economic growth should be lead by Ecology. Economy can not be at the cost of Ecosystem.  The caring for nature is an essential component of human well-being.

These impacts extend well beyond an increase in temperature, affecting ecosystems and communities around the world. Things that we depend upon and value like water, energy, transportation, wildlife, agriculture, ecosystems and human health - are experiencing the effects of a changing climate.

The Human civilisation produces about 60 giga tons of CO2 emissions of which 50% are absorbed by land and sea. The remaining 50% remains in the atmosphere leading to global warming.

Management needs to make sure that the strategy of the business enterprise  and sustainability efforts are aligned. First and foremost business needs to address compliance. Build a strategy which is  proactive than reactive. Sustainable business is reaching limits of what it can accomplish in its present form. It is slowing the velocity at which we are approaching a crisis, but we are not changing the course. Instead of tinkering around the edges of the market with new products and services, business must now transform it. That is the focus of the next phase of business sustainability.
